Mailing List
The mailing list software that we use is Mailman
Mailman a a large number of options, which are easily changed via a web interface.
To set up a mailing list for a seminar, research group, etc.
We need two things:
- The name of what you want to call the list, this should be something short-ish
- The email address of who will be initially administrating the list
You'll get email sent to you with the list password (which we suggest changing) and a infomation about your list.
Something to note about mailman.
- It is picky about the addresses. Your email address that you send mail to the list must be the email address you are subscribed to on the list.
